Who we are

What we collect

When you use our quote, contact or subcontracting forms we collect the information you enter: your name, company name, email address, telephone number and the details of your enquiry (for example postcodes, dates, load details and messages).

Our web server also records standard technical information such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, for security and troubleshooting. For spam and abuse prevention we store a one-way, keyed hash of your IP address for a short time; this cannot be read back as your IP address.

How we use it and our lawful basis

• To respond to your enquiry and prepare a quotation: steps taken at your request before entering a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries.
• To provide services if you become a customer: performance of a contract.
• To protect the website from spam and abuse: our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure.
• Website analytics, only if you accept analytics cookies: your consent.

We do not sell your data, and we do not add you to marketing lists from these forms.

Job applicants

If you apply for a job through our careers page, we collect the details you provide (contact details, the role you are interested in, your right to work in the UK, driving licence information for driving roles, your experience and your CV). We use this only to assess your application and, if we make an offer, to carry out pre-employment checks. Our lawful bases are taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legal obligation to check the right to work. Applications are seen by our HR team and the managers recruiting for the role, and are deleted 6 months after we receive them unless you are hired or ask us to keep your details on file.

Who we share it with

We use service providers to run this website and our email, including our web hosting and email providers. They process data on our behalf under contract. Where an enquiry involves a partner (for example a warehousing partner) we will only share the details needed to answer your enquiry, and we will tell you first. If you accept analytics cookies, we also use Google Analytics, provided by Google Ireland Limited, to understand how visitors use the site. IP addresses are anonymised and you can withdraw consent at any time via Cookie settings in the footer.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted after 24 months. Customer records are kept for as long as needed for the contract and for legal and accounting purposes (normally 6 years). Server logs are kept for up to 90 days.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. Contact us using the details above. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Security

This website uses encrypted connections (HTTPS), protects its forms against automated abuse, and restricts access to submitted enquiries to authorised staff.
